I am a mixed media artist. This means I use almost everything, but oils. Each and every one of my paintings is done with my hands. NOT one paintbrush is ever used! My emotions flourish on each canvas I create.
When I was just a little girl, I started to learn the basics of art. Every day I would grasp onto something new. This created a fresh world that was full of adventure. My grandfather painted in oils for a hobby, and my mother would occasionally draw in sketchbooks. My mother is an incredible artist even though she doubts herself. My family inspired me to carry on this creativity; it's in my blood.
I had the most incredible art teachers throughout my grade school years and my instructors continued to improvE through high school. This is when I discovered that I wished to continue my passion for art into a lifelong career.
Growing up, I struggled with a learning disability and it was hard to enjoy school. Art was an escape. Although I have been creating art throughout my entire life, I have recently been exploring new ideas and experimenting with larger canvases.
In 2017, I won an award in the Art Comes Alive competition by Art Design Consultants in Cincinnati, Ohio. I won additional awards in 2018 & 2019.
You can find my artwork in the Blink Catalog. Every year, I also participate in the Hyde Park Art Show where I display and sell my artwork. It's a nice time to see other remarkable local artists who are very inspiring. I am proud to have had the pleasure of being involved with Starfire Foundation Here in Cincinnati. I also donate many works of art to Children's Hospital for kids that undergo heart transplants and treatment. I live with a heart condition, so this cause is very dear to me.
